ソードアート・オンラインⅡ第６話「キリトvsシノン」

キリトくんのGGOへのログインに時間をかけていましたが、シノンと出会ってから話が加速して大満足です。
前回の話ラストで、デス・ガン<<死銃>>らしきプレイヤーが接触してきました。容姿から怪しいその人物は、キリトくんと同じSAOサバイバー。彼の見せるラフィン・コフィンの模様。キリトくんは、デスゲームでの事件を思い出します。

デス・ガンらしき人物から「お前は本物か？」と問いかけられたキリトくん。彼の正体がわかった瞬間に思い出したSAOで人を斬った記憶。殺人ギルドを討伐するとはいえ、デスゲームと化したSAOで人を殺したのです。相手は殺戮者、斬らなければこちらが殺されるという状況。しかし、その感触は今もキリトくんを苦しめていました。

頭を抱えているキリトくんを心配そうに見つめるシノン。

顔面蒼白なキリトくんは彼女の手をつかみ、歩みを止めます。
人を殺したという感覚が、少しでも傍にいてほしいと無意識におもったのでしょう。

まだGGOにきて間もないですが、３回戦目にシノンと戦闘です。

狙撃手である彼女の前に堂々と姿をさらすキリトくん。
その表情には、なんの感情も読み取れません。

シノンは堂々としているキリトくんに恐怖を覚える。
動揺を誘うことで、彼女の弾丸はキリトくんには届きません。
まさか、それが狙いだったのか？　――いいえ、違います。

降参する気でいたキリトくんでしたが、シノンの想いに答えて勝負を続行。決闘形式で勝敗を決めるようです。
キリトくんは剣。シノンは銃。
普通に考えれば、剣より銃が速いのですが、キリトくんはSAOの生還者。そして、攻略組トッププレイヤー。

相対する二人の間隔は10m。その近距離で放たれた弾道を、キリトくんは読み取って銃弾を斬るという技を披露したのです！

真剣なお話でしたが、シノンは自分の状況をようやく理解したようです。

今回、キリトくんのトラウマがわかりました。ある意味キリトくんとシノンは似たもの同士だったのですね。二人は恋愛関係に発展するのでしょうか。でも、似たトラウマがあるだけで、友情どまりになりそうです。キリトくんには、アスナがいますし。
